I liked his stories a lot and I hope to read more of his stories in the future.The name Poe brings to mind images of murderers and madmen, premature burials, and mysterious women who return from the dead. All of his stories were very awesome and had a lot of scary parts that are not appropriate for younger students. Overall, this was my favorite story because it had more action in it.Īfter reading these three different Edgar Allan Poe stories in language arts class, I learned a lot about Edgar Allan Poe. A week later, the cops come to investigate and hear a cat behind the walls. The narrator flips out after he finds out that it was the same cat so he goes to kill the cat with axe but hits his wife instead. Then, the man’s house burns down and the cat comes back. Then the next day, he kills the cat by hanging it in the tree.
At first, the narrator beats the cat and cuts his eye out. I liked “The Black Cat” better because I loved suspense that Poe created and mystique of the black cat. In this paragraph, I will be telling you which story I liked better between “The Black Cat” and the “The Tell-Tale Heart”.
After each investigation, the cops found the buried bodies. Another way “The Black Cat” and “Tell-Tale Heart” are alike is that there were three cops that came to each of the narrator’s house to investigate. One way “The Black Cat” is similar to the “The Tell-Tale Heart” is that they both killed someone in their stories. In this paragraph I will be tell you how the two stories are alike. In “The Black Cat”, He did not cut her up like narrator did in “The Tell-Tale Heart.” In the “The Black Cat” the narrator killed his wife and hid her in walls of his basement. In “The Tell-Tale Heart” he cut up the old man after he killed him and then he put him under the floor boards. He did not cut the old man’s eye out like the narrator did in “The Black Cat”. They are different in a lot of ways like how the narrator from “The Black Cat” cut the cat’s eye out and the narrator form “The Tell-Tale Heart” did not like the old man’s eye. I will be telling you how “The Black Cat” and “The Tell-Tale Heart” are different. The two stories that I am going to compare and contrast are “The Black Cat” and “The Tell-Tale Heart.” In this blog post, I will tell you how these stories were similar and different. We read “The Black Cat”, “The Tell-Tale Heart” and “The Cask of Amontillado.” All of the stories were similar in their own way, but they also had many differences.
